You can buy anything on eBay; well, almost anything. Does it bother you that one can buy Nazi Memorabilia, Fake Collectibles,
pornography, etc.? There are all sorts of things for sale on eBay that many people would consider really morally
problematic. Obviously, however, there are other who would make a different assessment.
Go to eBay at http://www.ebay.com/ and check it out.
Is there anything that you find for sale there that you feel should not be allowed? If there is, what is it and why? If not, what are the
worst things there that you think people might have a problem with and why? Why do you feel that these things should still be
allowed? Remember, eBay is international. What offends here may not elsewhere. Try to be sensitive to the global aspects of this
medium.
EXPECTATIONS:
Your paper should be two to three pages in length, and reflect your personal experiences with this issue. The important part of all
these project assignments is to carefully assess your own experiences with the topic, and then reflect critically on what
you might have learned about yourself and about situations through this assessment process.
The more that you can answer the exercise to develop personal implications for your growth as a potential business person as well as a moral individual, the more value you’ll get out of the exercise.
